My son has been in PCP since Nov. 30th, unfortunately he was completeing his 5th week when a muscle strain prevented him from doing 3 pull-ups. Its been a very trying time for him leaving his company and going into PCP but I'm just waiting for a letter any day now telling me he's in another Company.

My daughter and I currently reside in Gastonia, NC and can't wait for hubby to finish up at PI and get on with his MOS so that we can all be together as a family. March 23 can't get here fast enough.

Hello - we are from Raleigh, NC. Our son was in India CO 3024 until last week (the day before the crucible) when he was unable to complete his final PFT due to shoulder problems with pullups. He went into PCP for 1 week, and retested yesterday. Now he is in Bravo Co, and starts the Crucible tonight!! Please keep him (Josh) in your prayers.

Hi Jim and Sarah,
We live in Fuquay Varina,NC.Our son is in PLT 2040.His name is Daniel.He graduates May 25th.He had a bout of pnuemonia but got a letter today and he is doing well.No setbacks yet.He is on the rifle range right now.Your son will make it.You need not worry.All of us parents are family now so know he is in our prayers.I work in Raleigh and my husband works at RTP.Daniel is our youngest child.We have five children.4 boys and a daughter.I am a nurse and work with children with developmental delays and autism.My husband works for Cisco Systems.We look forward to hearing from you since your here near us.What is your son's name?

Hi Julie and Bill,
We are in Raleigh and would love to meet you! We have graduation next week (Sarah's b-day 4-20!), we had a one week speed bump but Josh is set to finish. Josh is the oldest of 3 (2 boys 1 girl), they are 21, 22, and 23, Yes what were they thinking

(this is Sarah writing- I'm the new step monster-we have been married 3 years)...
Jim works in Morrisville in manufacturing and I work for the State.
We should have about 8 folks going for graduation, I'm trying to find a condo closer than the hotel reservations we have, we will see :cf

My best friend works for Cisco and we would love to help w/ the troops mailing event you talked about on another page. My brother is on his R&R visit right now from serving in the Army in Iraq, he has been twice and also to Kuwait (a Col) we are very proud of Him!

I was excited to get a reply from you.We would love to meet you two also.We have 5 children together.4 sons and 1 daughter.My daughter and our granddaughters live in Raleigh by Crabtree Mall.We have three son's that live in California where we are originally from.We moved here 8 years ago because Cisco needed my husband here.We love it here and will never go back to California to live but will go to visit our sons.I know you will be going to Josh's graduation next week so send me a message when you get time and we will meet you for dinner.Hopefully Josh can come to.Tell Josh for us we are proud of him and all the young men that have endured bootcamp and have become Marines!!!! Ooh Rah :all

Hi Jim and Sarah,
It was good talking to you today.I still am in amazement in meeting your son and girlfriend today.Out of all the people at a busy mall like Crabtree that Josh and Mattie would be in a car in front of us as we were entering the mall parking area.Looking forward to talking with you at dinner.Maybe it will make me miss Daniel just a tad less. :eye

.....I laughed at what you said today about the orange vests.I kept looking at the photo website and wondered the same thing.Did you happen to read the mom's crucible?It is on Golf Company but it was originally on Bravo Company Board.It is a tear jerker for sure.I have always put my children's needs before mine so it really touched home.The United States Marine Corp is family.I can attest to that today.It was meant for our paths to cross and has made me realize that God made that possible.

My son is in PLT 2056, 2nd Bn, E Co. Scheduled graduation July 13, 2007. My son is entering BWT this week, crucible next week. We live in Louisburg, NC.
Counting the days till I see my RCT again!

We live in Mooresboro, NC and our son is scheduled to graduate Sept 7, we are newbies on the board. He is in Platoon 2072, 2nd BN G Company.

Glad to meet other from our state.
