1) Infantry Training Battalion (ITB) - ITB is for infantry Marines and has a length of 59 days. The first portion of training consists of basic weapons instruction. After a certain point the infantry Marines will split into groups according to their MOS: Rifleman, Machinegunner, Mortarman, Assaultman, or Anti-tank Guided Missileman. 2) Marine Combat Training (MCT) - MCT is for non-infantry Marines and has a length of 29 days (1 day of forming + 28 days of training). The training consists of basic weapons instruction.
