Just thought I'd update ya'll since I know some of you have been praying for me. Saw the surgeon yesterday. Gotta have two full knee replacements. He won't do both at the same time. So, anyway, scheduled to have first done in January. Then, he said maybe six months later, the other one. Which actually won't be a long delay from 1st to 2nd, since the recuperation/rehab period is 2-3 months after each surgery. Doesn't sound like a ton of fun (especially afterwards!),...

Two or three months ago I was asked to write a story about our MC experience and being a USMC PI STC Moderator for a book. A new MC mother I just met online is putting the book together, she's the author. She wants to help other folks who have no clue or experience about this MC bootcamp stuff...

Hi everyone, we are so excited because Travis has been assigned to Camp Lejuene for his PDS so he will be East coast now AND he had asked for 21 days off before going there and they approved it so he came home this weekend! I am so excited can't hardly stand myself. It has been so long since he has been home for any length of time.
Also Kevin went back for his check up after his face surgery and it is all good so unless he has peoblems he doesn't have to go back.

Many of you remember one of our STC alumni - Beth - Seth and Sean's Mom. She asked that I inform you that her son, Seth, passed away today. He was 23. She said "please let the moms know that he isn't in pain anymore". I don't have any more details. As you can imagine, her heart is shattered. Please keep Beth and her family in your prayers. Linda

Update on Matt (BAM)

I just wanted to share good news. Matt will graduate from his MOS school tomorrow. At their class dinner Friday night the GySGt announced 1st, 2nd and 3rd of the class. Matt got 3rd and was put on the meritorious Cpl promotion board. He will also be recognized by the commanding officer at graduation and given an award.

Every year for 5 years we have done a "yellow ribbon magnet sale" - with a twist. Instead of standard yellow ribbon magnets, we do camouflaged magnets that say "Support Our Marines".

We did however learn our lesson last year,
and this year we WILL be charging extra for...

Sorry everyone I was a bit off this weekend... We had to travel to Hopkinton for the football jamboree.... DANG... It's that time already...LOL...

Our team did great despite the humidity, the pausing for thunder and lightening, and the rain... We won 3 of 4 games... I was official videogropher (don't have a CLUE how to spell that...LOL) So I had to be REALLY GOOD and not yell like I usually do... which is a good thing cause my voice isn't hoarse today...

On way to work Monday morning, I was rear ended on the highway. Traffic slowed for merging entrance to another highway and the young girl behind me didn't,
Car estimated at $700 to repair, I walked around for 2 days with sore hip. Went to ER last night. Have left hip contusion. (bruise, swelling and some bleeding under the skin). On vicodin for pain. Charlie has been terrific. He works 2nd shift so he makes breakfast and lunch. Ensures I have something for dinner that my sister...
