Please pray for my son, Taylor. He wrote us last weekend and said that he had been coughing a lot and had a fever. On Monday (Oct. 26) he went to get checked and got "a bunch of meds." and was put on light duty for two days. On Tuesday night he wrote that he still couldn't hear out of his right ear because of infection and his chest and abs were hurting from coughing so much, but that he was anxious to get back on full duty the next day. I got 'that' call this morning. Jesse has been pulled from his platoon and put in MRP. He has issues with his back and they feel he need physical therapy to get him on track and they will put him another platoon. I did get to talk to him and he was upset and awkward. Today I went for a normal prenatal check up at 12 weeks pregnant and during the ultrasound the doctor could not find the heart beat or any bloodflow to the baby. So on Monday I will be going in for a procedure. My husband and I found out about a month before he left and we were both so excited. He is now 4 weeks into bootcamp and I had to call and tell him that I have had a miscarriage and will be going into surgery on Monday. He was sad, but thankful that I am alright. Tonight and tomorrow, I will be writing a letter to my son, Ethan, about his grandmother. We haven't told him as of yet that my mother had to have below-the-knee amputation due to her diabetes. Our family's prayers go out to his family and to all the other Marine recruit families that have sons and daughters partaking of the life change of becoming a Marine. I would like to thank everyone who prayed for my son who is in Kilo company. I am proud to announce that I have a Marine. Today was family day!!! It was so awesome to see him and to just hear him talk. I had the opportunity to meet at least one of the recruits (now Marines) that my son said really helped encourage him to get through the tough times.
